A NEW VIDEO!
Wow… I just realized that I haven’t posted a video in a long time. I’ve been busy working on my upcoming DEBUT album! (That still sounds surreal…)
The album hasn’t really slowed me down from writing new songs though. Day to day… it’s the songwriting that lifts my spirits and fills in the boredom that sometimes goes along with adult life. Making a short video, however, can be time consuming! Recording, videoing, editing, and posting is time consuming!… All on an iPhone6! (yes, I’m still on an iPhone6… and can you believe it? … I *just* upgraded from an iPhone4?!! a few weeks ago… Dark Ages!). 🙂
This new song is a WEDDING SONG!
When I got married I had no idea I could even sing let alone write a song or play guitar. It was fun to go back and revisit some memories and put this song together. I wrote it with a DUET in mind. If you find some of the lyrics ‘girly’ now you’ll know why! Gotta find a lucky lady to sing it with me on Album #2! GETTING WAY AHEAD OF MYSELF NOW! … (and just so you don’t think I’m uncaring… my wife already said no to the duet… ) 🙁
For this song, I really tried to push myself to make a better quality demo. Other songs I’ve shared on YouTube etc. have been just one take of me singing and playing the guitar. For this demo I played the piano, guitar, shaker, and even through in a little cello! (not a real cello… the keyboard synthesized kind!). I did the vocal at the end. You can see me in the video sneaking a few glances at the lyrics now and again… Lots on my mind!
